ON THE FLY IS A SELLING TOOL USED BY CONSULTANTS IT DOES NOT EXIST
There is no on the fly tool for IT development that is going to let non-technical people be technical people. You still have to get requirments, code them, test them and promote them. No tool will do this for you. If you want to speed up the process try a change in methodology like XP (Extreme Programing)Or better yet leave your coders the fuck alone so that they can code!!

I agree with you, BUT shouldn't the goal be to produce software that WILL allow the business "idiots" to create/modify programs?
Until that happens, you are correct, those that do not understand, should shut the fuck up.

I think that is valid idea but grossly ineffecient. A business user can only support the abstraction layer of such a program so you still have to have the developer and the business now tied to support...then the business user quits providing value as a business user and becomes a low quaility developer..? Just doesn't make sense? Still doesn't mean that you have on the fly development either....you know who i am talking about right?...lol

--- hat all depends on how "self coding" the software is. It may take another 50 or 100 years, but "Artificail Intelligence" will get better and better and software will create software so to speak.
Until then, I agree, you are correct.
