The Opposite of Danity Kane

Danity Cane is Stupid, Stupid, Stupid and I thought that I should let you know.

Why do we all seem to need everyone else to fix us?
What happened to our own self empowerment?

We expect others to fix all the problems around us, economy, politics, war, relationships, salary issues etc...

How come we have a whole generation who actually believes, dances, and recites this with little thought of the implications.

I wish I could take every lyric like this, every thought like this and replace them with a quote by Robert Schuller,

"If it is going to be, its up to me." - I have this on my fridge.

Here are the horrific lyrics millions of people are internalizing at this momement...

"thought that I should let you know
That my heart is
Damaged, damaged
So damaged
And you can blame the one before
So how you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?
How you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?
(Baby, I gotta know, what you are gonna do, baby?)
How you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?
(Baby, I gotta know, what you are gonna do?)
How you gonna fix it, fix it, fix it?
(Baby, I gotta know, what you are gonna do?)

[Andrea:]
Do, Do you got a first aid kit handy?
Do, Do you know how to patch up a wound?
Tell me,

yada yada yada

Why should I have to do any work when I could just get someone else to do it for me HUH?

I totally meant to leave that comment twice - because I meant it twice as much as I mean other comments.

Yeah.

I have to admit, this song is catchy. But, I actually hate it. When it comes on I listen for a few seconds, sing it, then shut it off b/c I'm sick of the way it repeats over and over. Didn't Diddy have anyone to write more lyrics?!?!

Bands like that are a product, not intended for deep thought and interpretation. They are produced like dolls in a toystore. Their music is catchy, easy to learn and super easy to get stuck in your head. Thank goodness I haven't heard this one or you'd have me singing it right now. In which case I'd have to fly to you so I could punch you in the eye.
