Ok it is 90 degrees in my fair city which may not mean a lot to those of you who get this kind of weather all the time but for here, this is HOT.
As I was laying in bed sweating my ass off I started thinking about heat and it just doesn't make sense.
Shouldn't I have more energy the hotter it gets?
You would think that the closer the outside temperture gets to 98.6 degrees the less energy that my body would have to devote to regulating its own temp freeing up some extra juice to burn off at a dance party..lol
But instead the hotter it gets the more I want to sit around like a sack of turds and do nothing.

Yeah. I agree with that. First, I hate the heat, but second, it doesn't make sense. I should have more energy like you said, for the exact reason you said.
So basically, I'm saying you are a genius. ;)
Welcome to my world of North Carolina - Hope you don't have to stay for too long - it sucks :) AT least your heat goes away, ours just stays for MONTHS!
I'm with EC only further south. I live in that constant state of "wanting to sit around like a sack of turds and do nothing"..but I don't get to, so it's worse!
it rarely gets that hot? are you serious? it's like that practically the whole freaking summer here and i am not that far away. :rethinks moving:

It's not the heat that gets you, it is the humidity which makes it very hard for the body to control it's temperature as the body uses perspiration to cool itself.
So when the bodys perspiration can't evaporate, it can cool itself. So any movement you do, which creates heat that the body does not need, can't be released by the body. So the body says, lie down you hot bastard.
Only the internal organs want the 98.6 degrees, not the rest of the body.
At least that is how I understand it.
