Catch -22

Catch - 22, by Joesph Heller

Finished reading this last night and it was ok. Yeah it was funny and witty but I felt like I was hearing a joke for the 10th time when I was reading it.

I must have watched to much MASH or Hogans Hero's or something because it was all so familiar.

It is probably a credit to the author that so much of Heller's work has found its way into popular culture, unfortunately it also wrecked the impact of the book for me. I could see the merit in his work without a doubt but I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time.

Next Up - The Black Swan, by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

No just for fun:) I usually set a goal for a 100 books a year. 50 fiction\classics and 50 non-fiction and rotate every other between them.

I have read Blink:)

Do you read alot?

I've never read C22-it's on a very long list of books to read, but I think I'll push it back now that I know it's not fantastic. I've also read Blink and didn't like it. I felt like he was telling me something I already knew and I just felt like skipping ahead the whole time.

Never read The Black Swan but have read Black Swan Green. :) I love books.

I have had that book for years and tried to read it once. Tried. I might go for it again. I also have a few Kurt Vonnegut books that I've put off for years because sometimes that man just writes in complex circles and I cannot keep up with them!
