Feng Shui Isn't Water It's Orange Juice

My drink of the moment is Captain Morgan and Orange Juice so it was no surprise that 5 minutes after I got home from school last night I found my self pouring a glass. As I was topping off the glass I did a curious thing, I just kept pouring until the orange juice was bubbling over and streaming down the sides of the glass and onto the counter top.

I stepped back and made another drink in another glass and left this mess on the counter. I watched it curiously drip over the sides and eventually harden up on the counter over a period of and hour. It was fascinating. Actually watching it dry.

My whole life I stay in the bounds of the glass. Never filling it all the way up for fear I might spill that I might create a mess. I stop short and hold back. I don't say what I mean too.

Why am I afraid of mess? Isn't it a sign i have just had too much Orange juice a reminder of something that I enjoy, a touch over indulged in. Or am I supposed to be clean? Hold it back. Don't waste. Save that juice for another day that might never come?

Brian's dichotomous army's taking the field. Cannon blasts from the side Restraint zero in on Over-indulgence. But Restraint is always outnumbered here. Over- indulgence never stops shooting.

I climb into this bottle like a driver getting into a car without brakes.

I am Feng Shui in a pile of sticky orange juice.

I am the patients to watch it dry.

I am the spontaneous spiller.

My cup runneth over.

Feng Shui, a pile of orange juice
Patience to watch dry
Cup for spiller runs over

A nice haiku, I think?

Something to think about- Why is clean always preferable to dirty? Why is fiscally responsible preferable to spending? Organized to chaotic?

Seems like it's really only a matter of perspective.

So reading this, you seem to be going through a self discovery similar to mine. Do you think it's our age group? Or do we just so happen to be questioning things at the same time? I like life better when the OJ is spilling over the sides and making the counter all sticky. It leaves a mark on all of it's surroundings, and all those who touch it.

Wonderful post. I love the feeling of unraveling.

I find messes fascinating. When I walk into someone's home and everything is neat, a place for everything and everything in its place I think they must be repressed. Judgemental, I know. Of course when I was a kid my mom called me Messy Jessi.

OJ and Captain? I'll have to try that.
