Bullshit Charge #43213 - Roaming Fees
If I am able to make a call...it means I am getting a satellite signal...which leaves me to ask what the hell is roaming? I think this is a bullshit charge..it doesn't make sense.
Funny you should ask Brian. I work for Verizon Wireless. We don't use satellites, but we use cell towers.
Roaming means that you are in an area that your carrier does not have network, and they have not made an agreement with any other carriers in that area that do have towers/satellites in order for you to be able to make a call without beinng charged Roaming charges.
So yes, you get a signal, but you are using another company's tower with whom your carrier has no agreement with, and probably getting charged out the ass for it. That's why you should switch to Verizon We pretty much are covered all over the U.S.!
Does that answer your question?
Note: Also while roaming, text messaging/pix messaging etc may not work because those are enhanced network features. ;)
Sorry you got charged roaming. You should check with your carrier if there is a way to update your roaming capabilities- Or pick up the nearest towers/satellites while traveling.
Verizon customers can do this by dialing *228 hit send, then option 2. =)
I did not ditch you! I did not get either text you have claimed to have sent! Did you use the right number? Try calling me! We are here til next Thursday by the way, so when you get back into town, we can still play! You're the one ditching me this weekend!
And I would love to give you free service if I could activate it! LOL ;)
