Read The 50th Anniversary Edition of Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. I picked this up because it is supposed to the the corner stone of African fiction and one of the best novels about tribal life and the introduction of colonialism, but when something is said to be the best I have a certain expectation of what that means and while I found the story interesting, if it is the best then I have no desire to read further from this genre.

Watched: Cloverfield I love this type of movie where you are in anticipation of something the whole time. Where the "monster" is just out of sight but coming. It is a refreshing take and point of view in a genre that has become so in your face with violence and gore. Although just like the Blair Witch Project the jerky camera running around the whole time made my eyes bug out a few time. But it was so worth it.
Watched: The Motorcycle Diaries - The journey of Ernesto Che Guevara across South America. While I am not naive that this has been edited to bestow greatness on Che I really enjoyed this movie. It made me want to brush up on my Spanish and get my ass out on another adventure soon.
Dinner and Date Night @ WA Frost Tends to be a little stuffy for date night but it was just what I needed.
Headed over to Moscow on the Hill for a Cherry Vodka nightcap.
Sunday
Biked from my house to Lake Harriet down the Parkway to Lake Nokomis around Lake Nokomis and back home. Figured out when I was about half way that I would need to invest in a new bike seat cause my ass was so sore. I probably look like one of those monkeys with the red butts. Trying to get my bike legs back and make a commitment to ride to work three days a week.
Mowed, Trimmed, Edged.

You just need some of those fancy padded bike shorts. They look so silly, but holy f* they make a difference.
Sounds like a lovely weekend! I have wanted to see the Motorcycle Diaries for a long time.
I think that would be Babboon ass ;o)
Now that is a weekend. You might want to invest in a new seat seeing as how I have been told that your testicles can become numb from the wrong kind. Just friendly advice.
Oh, "Things Fall Apart" I know what you mean. I hate when books are built up in such a way that it lets you down. In this genre, the simplicity is what is supposed to stand out but when it get pumped up like it did...it gets lost.
Damn dude - do what Scargosun says! You don't want numb testies!
It is one of my many ambitions to regularly cycle anywhere.
you were way more productive than I was. LOL I'm jealous.
