Pork Watchers...Not That Kind You Perv!

Coming down to election time...just doing my part to educate where I can about what our elected officials are doing with our Money.

Check out the Pig Book. See where your money is going. Maybe you will join me to vote to stop it. Just check it out you know you are not really working anyway...

Don't let 2007 numbers fool you they have not changed spending habits with emergency appropriation bills there is more wiggle room to move money off the books.

Some of the stuff wasn't too bad, but here are a couple beauties...

--$9,500,000 for the Extended ColdWeather Clothing System;

--Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Ted Stevens (R-Alaska),$4,000,000 for the Northern Line Extension, The Northern Line Extension will provide a direct route from North Pole (pop. 1,778 in 2005) to Delta Junction (pop. 840 in 2000), which is a whopping 82.1 mile drive on one highway between the two villages according to MapQuest.
---Unreal, Stevens hasn't been impeached after the $25 million bridge for 200 people?

We need pork reform right now. No pioggybacking on other bills, make everyone vote on every single cost > $500,000 or something like that.

I could tell you stories that would make your hair curl.

I've recently been involved with local politics. I am stimied by the intelligence levels of our elected officials.

Sadly, I'm not surprised by some of this stuff. Half a mil for a teapot museum...and what's with the fascination with toilets and urinals? I guess politicians really don't think about much other than their johnsons.

This is why washington is broke..and U know who broke it...every American, U know the one who cares about Paris Hilton and Spears, the one who doesn't get that involved and the one who doesnt make sure these elected officials know they are being watched. GOP = Dems, when it comes to this stuff..

I think its time to make elections public founded, and you wouldn't get any of these sh*t going on.
