Weekend ReCap

Friday

Solera for a few cocktails:)

When to Manhattans for a few cocktails....I really want to love this place but the service is just poor. I mean call me stupid but a place that wants to be known for their cocktails should probably have some decent bartenders. Granted it has been a few years since I have slinged drinks but I could have done better job then all of them put together. The only thing worse than a slow woman is a slow bartender.

Went to see Joel McHale's comedy show at the State Theater. Fuck you I like the Soup and anyone who hates Ryan Seacrest that much is alright in my book. Now the State Theater really messed up the timing of these shows and it was a mess getting into the 10:00 show with the 8:00 show getting out but after a brief pushing match the show got started and it was pretty good. I have no idea who his opening act was but that guy was awesome.

Saturday

Worked for a few hours early in the morning.

Went to Half Price Books and Sold off a Years Worth of Text Books (Probably about $1000.00 worth for a cool $50.00)

Installed New Fridge Compressor.

Went to Tailgate....hey I had $50 burning a hole in my pocket.

Got some PF Changs take out, made a fire, drank some wine and watched Vicky Christina, Barcelona.
I am a pretty big Woody Allen fan but this was not his best by any means..ok it was sexy, Cruz was good, I love Spain but the some of the parts was just equal to the whole. My favorite part was watching it on the couch with someone who was even sexier.

Sunday

Worked a little in the morning

Chores, Chores, Chores

Watched Nights in Rodanthe. Started off slow, but a decent ending even for a Nicholas Sparks novel.

Did Home Work

Watched Zach and Miri Make a Porno It was alright.

Got my prep on for the week.

I heard McHale interviewed on KDWB Friday morning and it just further cemented his greatness as a pop culture/reality TV hating comedian.

I agree about the bartender comment... sometimesI just want to rip the stuff our of their hands and do it myself, especially, if they are gossiping with the fellow barkeeps.... but on the other note, Brian, what do you mean exactly by a slow woman.... slow to... what?

I didn't mind Nights in Rodanthe, but there are times when I am really wanting a happy ending and then I remember it is a Nicolas Sparks novel.
