From The Inside

Sitting in my car watching my fellow man dig for gold
It struck me as odd that we make such a big deal about
Picking our nose. Don't touch it. Its so gross and so dirty.

But hey buddy..

It is already touching you from the inside....

But for some reason as soon as we lift our hand to it it becomes dirty.

You are touching poop right now, urine right now, boogers right now...

From the inside.

But that doesn't seem to gross anyone out.

Only when they touch it through the barrier of their skin are they grossed out.

Weird huh?

Damn, Brian, you have got a great worldview. Now I know why Mags loves you so much. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that I'm more prone to go pickin' when I'm at work (when no one's in the room, of course). Don't know if that's good or bad. Wonder what God thinks about it. Meditate on this I will...

I tend to tell my kids that there is a snail that lives up their noses and if they stick their finger in there it will bite it off. This keeps it in check.

holy crap that was so funny and true. i read online that kids who pick their nose and eat it don't get sick as much because they are eating all the bacteria and crap that collects in this little filtering system we call a nose.

i like how you think brian!

When my son had impetigo, the doctor explained that it's an infection caused by touching your boogers, then touching an open sore. I think I tried to explain it off, like "he's had a cold,it's probably running out of his nose and into the sore." The doctor said, "Everyone picks their nose. It's just that no one wants to admit it." Looks like you are!

I love that you think in this way-however, I have to say that sometimes bacteria grows when it hits the air. Like, maybe our intestines are hermetically (however the fuck you spell that!) sealed and that's why we aren't walking pits of festering poo.
